No description

We have been asked to join the round table at the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic on the topic Cage kept hens – does it belong to the 21st century? The discussed topic was the enriched cages versus alternative housing, including the economic impacts of a transition from the first to the latter imposed by a new law. Presentations, documents and other information including our Analysis of economic consequences and the audio recording can be found here (in Czech). Given the disapproval of deputies from ANO party, the Committee on Environment was not able to take a stand on the proposed law. Subsequently, the proposed law was rejected by the Committee on Agriculture, once again due to the disapproval of deputies from ANO party. Therefore, the law did not be discussed by the Chamber of deputies.
